Import in 3 steps

Step 1: Import rule settingsWhen you start a new import, you will have a list of settings to choose from to import. These settings are called “Import Rule” and they are saved so you don’t have to select them every time you want to import.

Step 2: MappingIn this second step, you will map the columns of the import file to the corresponding product/combination properties. You can select the “Ignore this column” option if you want to skip it. The first line of your import file is usually a header that displays the column names. If your file is different, you can select the title bar on this page in the top right corner. For example, if your file has no headers, you should make this “header line” 0.On the left there is a select box which is used to select columns from your import file. In addition, there is an input field next to each select box. In these input fields you can enter custom values that will apply to all products. It will be used if the value is not present in the import file or if it is empty.

Step 3: ImportOnce you’ve finished matching columns, you can start the import process. The process may take from several minutes to several hours to complete, depending on the size of the import file. The data is imported in chunks, so you won’t have any server timeout issues. If you enabled CRON for the import rule in the first step, you will see instructions for setting up CRON in this third step.

ExportThe export functions work in the same way as the import functions. You will need to create export rules and set up CRON for automatic export.
